I picked a couple tomatoes, okra pods and squash. The crook neck squash is my favorite. It doesn't seem to have as much water and it's more flavorful..
The sunflowers have just turned to giants and the stalks are huge.
I have to support the stalk because the flowers are so heavy.
looking around, the portulaca or moss rose as I call it is a volunteer from last year.
I saw this under the lilac so I pulled it up about a month ago to put in pot for replanting.

I picked the tomatoes along with a cuke
I cut up squash with onion, little pepper. I place a couple of chicken bouillon cubes in the pot with just a little splash of olive oil and dill.
In my electric pressure cooker I set it for 6 minutes.
Oh yes, I do love dill as you can see.
Oregano finally looking good. Takes a good while for this to take off.

Through the weeds you see the red hydrangea I have had for years and it's been dug up and moved several times. One day it will bloom I hope

Looks like you have a great garden going! I think we are pretty much out of the rain for a bit..but we are still green so the dry heat is not doing much damage. Seems like we are just the right amount of heat and rain....Garden produce looks YUMMY.
Betsy, your veggies look wonderful. Our tomatoes have been coming in, but the vines are looking pitiful. Your's look so healthy and green. I love yellow squash as well. Your recipe sounds good. I cook mine with onions, a small potato in a little olive oil. It tastes like summer. I think the rain will be over by Friday and hopefully we will all dry out soon. ♥

Nothing beats the flavour of home grown produce, the meal you prepared looked delicious. I am a fan of dill particularly with fish.

your sunflowers and vegetables are doing well!! We had 7 inches of rain in 5 days last week and now more rain is predicted all week here again!! Not supposed to be as much though as last week!! My impatiens have turned to mush and rotted away.... They looked so pretty before the rain....Thanks so much for visiting!!

A lovely post . . . you captured so many of the true joys of summer :) There are always somethings that grow beautifully and then there are some that have a bad year. I noticed some baby squash beetles on my zucchini this morning . . . not a happy thing to find.
I'm not going to let it steal my "happy" for the day.
