Good Luck in the New Year. Steve put in order last evening for black eyes and is having them now. Honey cornbread with lots of butter. Mom and Dad used to grow black eye peas and I prefer to eat them green instead of drying them with tomatoes and sometimes corn. Not too crazy about the brown or dried ones but good with tomatoes, onions, left over Christmas ham and celery. His tray ready to take down and sit in front of t.v. while eating and taking in a movie. Good day for it since it's over cast and rainy.
Good Luck in the New Year
Dearest Betsy,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy New Year!
We did not eat any black eyed peas but hope it will not affect 2021.
It is pouring down here and also tomorrow.
Hugs,
Mariette
Happy New Year Mariette,
DeleteIt is really cold and pouring here also. The rain drops look heavy. I bet if any colder they would turn to ice. I wish you much good luck in the New Year! I don't know where the good luck and black eyes came from but must check it out. Hugs to you in the New Year, Betsy
Thank you Betsy!
DeleteHappy new year, wishing you everything you wish for yourself with every blessing.

DeleteHappy New Year to you and your family, Betsy! Your black eyed peas look wonderful and full of good luck!
ReplyDeleteNow those black-eyed peas look delicious! I do not care for the dried peas either. We had collards and black-eyed peas on New Year's day. Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year! Going to look at your Christmas Blog.
