Va Beach Feb 2023

A week and a half ago we enjoyed time away for a few days.   We took walks on boardwalk.  Late eveing walks were the nicest.  The sand was warm and it wasn't that chilly either for February.  

We had a nice room.  Middle of week so it was pretty quiet there.

7th floor was nice but I wanted to the 11th.  I love being up high, but Steve does not. 

He said that this is as high as he wanted to go.

Beach in Winter

A week ago few days after our Anniversary, we stayed at Virginia beach.   Relaxing on the 8th floor, the ocean sounds were loud and clear.  I sleep so well when I hear the waves crash.
It was nice on the Thursday we went and people were in shorts,  the next day it was coats and hats.  The days go from warm to cold.

Mine was the plain yogurt with honey and fruit plus granola
Steve had french toast of banana bread, syrup, sliced bananas and walnuts.  The picture I took of his didn't turn out for some reason.

Virginia Beach and Russ

Steve's b'day was the 11th of May and Moms Day the 14th. We decided to take a few days to Va. Beach to relax and even though it was chilly _ a day at the beach is still a day at the beach I hear said by many.

May 12 and 13 the same thing.   Love hearing the sound of the waves crashing.  Made for a good nights sleep for us.

This was Saturday and of course the sun would come out and the temperature at 80 degrees this day as we leave.

We will be back

Russ will be back too.  He will travel with us from now on.   Adalyn and Genevieve picked him out to give to Opa on his b'day.  They love stuffed animals and Opa does too.  He is now our traveling buddy.

Beach trip

 

A much needed break  to the beach for five days.

Next morning

up early to catch the sunrise

late in the evening after dinner  we took a walk on the boardwalk,  listening to bands play and late shopping in some of the shops.     On the boardwalk below is Neptune,  wonderfully sculpted statue I had to get a picture of.
