A stay now and then means quiet. No T.V.'s. Back to nature and there are fire places in certain areas to enjoy in the cold months. We didn't stay here this time but took the children there to visit a few weeks ago and they did very much enjoy being outside running around and take a little walk up the mountain. This is the front of the hotel. Shrine Mont is a retreat and conference center located in Orkney Springs. A community in western Shenandoah county.

I love the mountains. I love scouring the stream beds for rocks. Something about that fresh mountain air that just makes me feel good.

Dearest Betsy,
ReplyDeleteAnother perfect trip with the grandkids, educational and beautiful within nature.
LOVE those old stones being put to good use in different ways. If they could tell their age old stories.
Too bad that you encountered rain in the end...
We're not at the mountains in NC and enjoying the perfect weather. Nature in the mountains has a lot of charm.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thank you Mariette. I love old stones to place around my flowers. Even though it rained, it was so nice. We took our umbrellas and listened to the drops hitting them. It was fun. Betsy
