Few days getaway to the mountains with
grand girls. Patriotic town that's for sure and such friendly people. We stayed in Woodstock Va. We then ventured to other areas the next two day. Woodstock is in the county seat of Shenandoah County since county's formation in 1772.
Out in the town on a Saturday morning admiring the colorful planters and American flags flying.
We stopped at a yard sale. Genevieve found a Barbie doll and Adalyn some tiny little plastic animals. She loves those tiny animals.
I found these and they were only $1.00 a piece
Walking the street early on a Saturday we come to PAC Man
PAC man is what this rock statue is called.
short clip of PAC man.

Woodstock is such a lovely town as you have featured in your photos, Betsy. I really enjoyed reading about Pac-Man. I'm so glad you and the grands had such a nice trip. The weather looks perfect. I'm really excited about the cooler days ahead. Enjoy your week.
Dearest Betsy,
That was a lovely, sunny day for exploring Woodstock!
Another patriotic history lesson for your grand girls and they also gained some treasures.
Hugs,
Mariette
Thank you Mariette,
Oh it was a very nice day for exploring and seeing all of the pretty potted plants. History lesson indeed and they will learn so much more along the way.
Hugs and happy week ahead,

Great post... I love checking out the little towns in our country.... SO peaceful and patriotic.... When we were in the Shenandoahs in August-- we drove on the back roads through the Valley.... Some fantastic little towns --and of course, the farms and ranches.... LOVE that area.
Hugs,
Betsy
