Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens

A walk through the gardens today to see the changing leaves.  Lots of beauty surrounds the property.  Genevieve went with us and lead the way.  Me as always, coming up in the rear.
Entrance to lobby

I always like to check out the gift and garden shop and the two never disappoint.

Decorating the trees and greenery has started at the gardens.  I look forward to seeing it on members night.

Not liking this that much.

Red Maples

Japanese maples near the pond

I don't know what this wispy shrub is but it sure is pretty and so soft looking

Look how soft that shrub looks in the distance.

Beautiful peppers planted in an urn at entrance to the fountain

Along our walk there are still beautiful blooms to see along the way

I don't know what this one is called but partial to the color, I am.

I think I like this one the best.

  1. Betsy, I love seeing Lewis Ginger on Autumn days. Your photos are beautiful with all the roses in bloom. Genevieve is such a little doll and really enjoyed her day! What great grandparents you both are. ♥

  4. Betsy, you always have the prettiest places to go. That white fluffy bush looks just like a beautiful fountain of water and the hunt for turtles pic is priceless, frame worthy..Happy Sunday..xxoJudy

  5. Dearest Betsy,
What a lovely walk that was together through Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens!
Wish I could have joined you...
Wonder what that name on the rose label tags meant, at the bottom...
    Cute videos as well.
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

  6. What a great visit to those gardens.... I would love it. I'm sure that Genevieve enjoyed every minute... She is so precious.

We grow Hybrid Tea Roses in our yard --and we have that rose you pictured called Fragrant Cloud. Hope you smelled it...

The white with pinkish/reddish edges near the bottom is Double Delight --another one like we have...

AND --the pink above Double Delight may be Pink Peace.

    Have a great week.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
