Sunday cook out

My sister Donna  invited us for a  summer evening dinner.  Keith made the best  pork barbecue.  Nice lean moist pork .
Nice to have end of Summer dinners like this.
Soothing sound of water falling from the tiers of the fountain as we head for the front door.

Beautiful tasty fresh salad

What a  bountiful feast!!!

Heirloom watermelon that my daughter Annette grew and just picked.  It has white streaks running through it and bright pink.   Very sweet and juicy.   I kept some seeds to grow next year.   She has about 14 more ready to pick and a few were sold to a country store next to her.

This Melon has a thick skin and it keeps well.

Grand daughter and Annette.  I wished I had taken more pictures of everyone else but it was busy with eating and eating.  So good.

  6. Those are the very best of summertime family gatherings! And such a great end of summer meal too. I think you're all very fortunate to live near enough to do this. And I sure do love a stone house, beautiful color in theirs!
