Heirloom watermelon that my daughter Annette grew and just picked. It has white streaks running through it and bright pink. Very sweet and juicy. I kept some seeds to grow next year. She has about 14 more ready to pick and a few were sold to a country store next to her.
This Melon has a thick skin and it keeps well.

Those are the very best of summertime family gatherings! And such a great end of summer meal too. I think you're all very fortunate to live near enough to do this. And I sure do love a stone house, beautiful color in theirs!
