fruit medley

I am trying so hard to be good and eat better.  For breakfast - chopped apples,  strawberries and pecans,  wished I had cocoanut on hand,  love it on my fruit.

I had to pull it altogether with something extra and thought a little tablespoon wouldn't hurt of this great tasting golden liquid

I didn't know that we had great Maple Syrup made in Virginia.   We will take a trip to Monterey Va. every early March to get some.   I should say I will hope to anyway.  The one below is what we purchased from the festival there but there are others who make great tasting syrup too.
I am sharing with  The Dwellings amaze me Monday
Hope to be amazed within the next few months of losing weight by eating a  little healthier and lighter

  1. I love all kinds of fruit too. That maple syrup looks good! I'm always saying I want to buy some "fancy" syrup, but I usually end up with Mrs. Butterworth's. LOL! I'm going to World Market later and I'll bet they have a good selection of syrups. :) I'll have to see what they have. Enjoy your week!

  3. That looks so yummy, Betsy. I am not from Va. (except for the last 13 years) so I did not know that Virginia had maple syrup makers. I'll have to look some up for me.

  4. Hi Betsy,
So glad you visited us at the Frog & PenguINN, and that you're a train gal. Too bad about that cuzin'.... i think we all have at least one. You did amaze me about the VA Maple Syrup.... i didn't think it got cold enough down here.... well at least not on the Eastern Shore. To see what we do here in Onley with trains go to www.onley-spots.blogspot.com.

  5. Hi Betsy, thanks so much for the recent visit to our blog, The Frog & PenguINN and for your comment. We really appreciate and enjoy all visits and nice to find your blog as well. We are natives of NJ and have lived on the VA eastern shore for the past 10 years renovating and enjoying our 100+ year old Victorian home, but have hopes to relocate to New England one day. We DO enjoy maple syrup and never knew it was also available in VA. Your presentation looked delicious!

  6. Hi Betsy. That looks so good and your maple syrup must be so good. What we get out here in the west from the grocery store, I'm sure doesn't taste anything like what you get. I made a healthy dessert the other night that I got from KarriAnne at Thistlewood Farm. I used non-fat vanilla yogurt with a splash of vanilla and some fat-free Cool Whip, mixed all together and then layer blueberries and strawberries with the yogurt mix. It was very good, light, a great summer dessert, pretty and I feel that it is healthy..Good luck on the weight loss..Happy Monday..Judy

  7. Hi Betsy, this looks so good. I never knew they made Maple Syrup here in Virginia either. I never knew they had a Monterey here. We used to live in the one in California years ago, for a short while back in our Navy days. Now I know :)
