While touring around the town of Clarkesville VA . seeing the lovely homes, we decided to stop at Lakeside Cottage. Beautiful Victorian with cozy wicker seating on porch. Lovely grounds and plantings.
Inside was a treat. We purchased several Christmas gifts, happy about that as that is 3 I can mark off of my list.
The artists who live here came out to greet us and a very nice couple. I will show you a few pieces we purchased at the end of this post

The roses above were a purple and reddish color. Very deep and rich color.

This one for sale in town, an acreage but not sure how much.
Everywhere I looked , there was something that caught my eye.
How come I cannot get my roses to look like this?
As we were driving by I noticed the stone wall with plantings in front of the property in town.
Now for the art. Steve liked this Carving in optical grade acrylic of maple leaves. Mr. Hall mixes his own colors for his art pieces
He gave us a demonstration of how he carves each piece. I could watch as long as he could carve, so interesting.
