It was nice on the Thursday we went and people were in shorts, the next day it was coats and hats. The days go from warm to cold.
Sun shining bright right before the Hampton Bridge Tunnel
Loved the comfortable suite we had
sunrise from my balcony

I like the wall treatment
In the lobby area are these painted mason jar lights
breakfast at the bistro downstairs
Mine was the plain yogurt with honey and fruit plus granola
Steve had french toast of banana bread, syrup, sliced bananas and walnuts. The picture I took of his didn't turn out for some reason.
After breakfast, a walk on the beach
I love the wall behind the bed and I agree — nothing puts me to sleep like the sound of the surf. What a gorgeous sunrise!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated anniversary, Betsy! How lovely to spend time in winter at the beach. There are few places on earth that I love more than the ocean. Your suite looks wonderful. I'm so glad you had a good time. Ahh the waves are so calming and put me to sleep too! Lovely photos of the sunrise. ♥
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise. I loved the wall too, such a wonderful effect.
ReplyDeleteThat's Virginia Beach alright... crashing waves, beautiful sunrises. I am so happy that you had this time to relax and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean!! It must have been relaxing to sleep with the sound of the waves. This sure would be nice specially now that I am at a pile of snow from the window. :)
ReplyDeleteIn winter it'll be cold. But you can enjoy the empty beach without any disturbance.
ReplyDeleteSo true and that is why I like to go in winter, no crowds. Love walking the beach in the sun.
DeleteBetsy, what a relaxing get away. Pretty pictures. The first one reminds me of being on a ship, looking off the deck. Looks like a very special place..Happy Thursday..xxoJudy
