I am now just catching up with new posts from everyone.
Sunflowers I started from seed few months back have grown like weeds.
Planter with peppers and patio tomatoes are also doing well. Okra coming along nicely in the planter.
These small planting areas have gone crazy with growth. Crowded but I have picked several cukes. The squash in here are blooming.
This squash is in our front yard. I love the large leaves. Several squash on the vine.
I can always count on my black eyed Susans for color. Hardy plants.
"I am working with the enthusiasm of a man from Marseilles eating bouillabaisse, which shouldn't come as a surprise to you because I am busy painting huge sunflowers."

Your garden is looking wonderful! I never thought to plant squash in a container! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny. This is the second time I have done it and got squash. I just the think the plant is a beauty for it's leaves. Like elephant ears almost.
DeleteYour Sunflowers and all of your veggies are TERRIFIC... Yes---we had quite a bit of rain here the past week or so... We just got home from a short trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was so nice and cool up there!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Will have to check out your blog when I get more time to read everyone's this afternoon. Love that Blue Ridge Parkway.
DeleteWow, your garden looks great! Glad it didn't suffer in your absence!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Next year I hope I can plant more.
DeleteYour garden looks amazing. You ask me about beetles, I have never had (knock on wood) a problem with them. It is probably the difference in your climates. You are getting lots of rain and we live in a desert and have to irrigate or nothing would grow. I send a good deal of my summer moving sprinklers around the garden and yard. If I didn't it wouldn't grow anything but weeds. They grow no matter what, LOL.
ReplyDeleteHappy gardening!
Connie :)
Hey, the desert is starting to sound pretty good to me. You have created a wonderful garden. Your hard work is paying off. Betsy
