Packing up

Steve retired last month and we helped pack up some things from the office with the girls.   First a stop at the 3rd street diner.   They asked to go there to have dinner before we headed further downtown.
on our way in the diner

very blurry but Genevieve is ordering plain pancakes with syrup and corned beef hash and lemonade
Adalyn ordered her favorite corned beef hash and pancakes with lemonade

not the best shots with this cell phone but there were mighty large pancakes

Glad they got to visit several times as they always asked to go to Opa's office

Retired but not retired.  Steve will always be busy at something.  Retired Veteran plus this recent one, not hardly a person who can sit still,  well deserved and now we need to make some time for ourselves and move to the beach (wishful thinking, but who knows). Steve are you listening?

Wow, a new chapter in your lives is right ahead! Congratulations and happy retirement to
Steve. Your granddaughters looked like they were really enjoying the outing with you. And yes, those are HUGE pancakes for such little girls!

Congrats to Steve/Opa! Such a cute photo of the backs of the three of them walking to the diner! They are so lucky to have such a wonderful grandpa! My kids will never know what its like to have a grandpa. :( My husband's father died when he was 11 and my Dad died when my first born was 6 months old.
The diner pics are cute, and I love that they wanted lemonade with their breakfast, that cracks me up!
Take care and happy August!
