Orchids at Lewis Ginter

The scent of orchids filled the air in the conservatory at Lewis Ginter botanical gardens in Virginia.

the bird of paradise to greet and such a pretty flower to brighten a rainy day

this was a surprise arrangement . Every year there is a new way to display these gorgeous plants
 corsage orchid

First time I have seen them displayed in fancy dress shoes

I must say I love shoes

For some reason , this plant reminds me of my gladiolas I have blooming every year close to the same color

moth orchid - so called because of it's resemblance to  moths in flight

I am sharing with make it pretty monday   at the Dedicate House

I hope to post the tulips tomorrow

This is a gorgeous selection here. Fantastic photos! I love Lewis Ginter. I don't live close enough to go regularly but I look forward to another trip one of these days.
