It's not all that cold outside, but the plants know when it's time to rest,  good weather or not.   What's left of the flowers are fading fast so I try to pick and bring in as many as I can to enjoy.  
I have this bunch on my dining table.

just outside the front door are more white zinnias and a dahlia I planted from seed growing in a pot.
It's is a pretty red.  

I will plant more white ones next year.  hopefully I can get the area mulched tomorrow.
