A bit of sunshine

Inside with the flu since Saturday night, it was nice to venture out and sit in the sun.  Feeling the warmth made me feel better.   I took a few pictures while out, not too many but some pretty blooms to bring in and put in  a vase boosted my spirit.

A short walk in the wood and found a clump of daffodils.  Not in bloom but will eventually be.

Don't know where this came from but sure pretty and a happy sight to see
I never planted them here.

sitting  here looking at the bowl of daffodils I picked before coming inside

Hopefully tomorrow will be full of sunshine like today

  3. So sorry to hear you have been ill, Betsy! I'm sure the walk outside brightened your spirits. Your daffodils look so lovely. I like the white petals with the yellow center. I picked a dozen of ours today and put them in the dining room. Such warm temperatures the last couple of days, but I hear it's not going to last. Please come, Spring! Take care, my friend. xo

  4. So sorry you have been sick with the flu. I’m sure it was good to get out in the fresh air and enjoy some signs of spring. Your daffodils are lovely and brought some sunshine into the house.

  5. Dearest Betsy,
    Wishing you speedy recovery!
I've been so grateful for not having caught a cold as I was afraid for my voice.
Today we performed at the St. Patrick's event, the Joint Civic Luncheon for all clubs together, organized by Rotary Club. We sang the National Anthem and America the Beautiful and all went well.
BUT the Lieutenant Governor who would fly in by helicopter, had to have his flight cancelled due to strong winds from where he had to depart. We too had strong winds and wild clouds.
    One never knows...
Stay covered and have a cozy weekend.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    2. I will take another shot at a reply here. Something is not quite right with blogger for me this evening.

You sang two of my favorite songs at the event. The National Anthem being my most favorite. We used to sing it in grade school often. My grand daughter is learning it and knows most of it as her class sings it. Good to see my 1st grade granddaughter learn these patriotic songs.
Continue to stay away from the cold and flu and hopefully this is the end of the season for it.
      Happy Sunday
      Betsy

Around here Spring seems to be something of another planet and wonder if it will get here someday. We just had a terrible storm and there is more snow to come...breath Angela!! Have a wonderful St. Patrick's weekend!
