through the window

Looking out

through the screened window,  it is sunny, bright and leaves are putting on a show

Inside I am sick , hoarse, and feeling like crap.
Adalyn had the croup,   Genevieve had tonsilitis and I have a combination of both.
Steve is doing well and I hope he stays that way.

Morning Sun?

Annette took this photo with her cell phone - taken in May 2014
Around 10 or so in the morning
In Hollywood Cemetery

The breeze,  the breath of God,  is still
And the mist upon the hill
Shadowy, shadowy, yet unbroken
Is a symbol and a token
How it hangs upon the trees
A mystery of mysteries.

West Virginia visit 2

Some more pictures from our visit to my daughters farm.     Have to show some animals living there at the moment.   Her garden did pretty well this year with some HUGE sweet potatoes.

Super sweet too.

Below are just a few more beautiful scenery pictures on the way to her home

followed this river and I should know the name- but I don't

What pretty scenery

one of my favorite shots of a barn not to far from out destination

this one was rather feisty

Below are their Jerusalem donkeys
so sweet and good natured , so named because of the cross on their back. Legend has it that this mark was earned after the first Palm Sunday when christ rode on one into Jerusalem.  The reality of it's origin is that it's a remnant of it's African ancestry.
I was surprised to learn a donkey can easily live thirty years and beyond that for some.

They love the attention and get plenty of it.

yep, the pigs love their mud

scenic - west virginia trip

Last week end we took a trip to West Virginia to visit my daughter and her family.
The leaves were just beginning to change and it was rainy.   Nice pleasant drive for us both.

The Greenbrier - Since 1778 , Americas resort.
Located just outside the town of White Sulphur Springs in Greenbrier West Virginia.
Forbes 4 star and AAA five diamond award winning resort.  Dwight Eisenhower was the last president to stay here out of a total of 26 who also stayed here.
A massive underground bunker that was meant to serve as an emergency shelter for the U.S. congress during the cold war code named "Project Greek Island".
