Beautiful Flower

Steve surprised me with a beautiful  flower painting Thursday.   We watch this British t.v. mystery series, which we found late as it stopped airing a few years ago on D.V.D..
The setting is in the very beautiful English and European countryside.   Being gardeners, the two women handle floral problems and solve crimes, as they sometimes dig up something besides dirt and flowers.   They do get earfulls from the locals and people they do garden work for.
The show starts with the  song "Rosemary and Thyme"- which is also the names of the characters,  and a gorgeous flower arrangement opening in slow motion to the theme song.

The painting Steve noticed hanging downtown in a bank building  with others for sale,  and he knew I would like it.   He purchased it because it reminded him of the intro to the show that I love to watch.   VERY thoughtful of him.
Richmond Va. native Sally Booth is the artist who painted this.

the colors are fitting for fall also
I like the way it is framed,  no mat and the way that it comes at you in a burst of color

I love the pop of colors and will hang in my dining room

I am sharing with Masterpiece Monday
