Cadiz Christian Church

Cadiz Christian church in Cadiz Kentucky was founded by 24 people  on August 1, 1842 . Earlier meeting at the courthouse and then moved to a log bldg.
After meeting with the Masons in 1852,  an agreement was made to build a struture that would house both groups.

On the corner of Main and Madison in 1892 ,  a church building was constructed and today the church is still meeting in same building.

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the gorgeous stained glass work

I am sharing with Inspired Sunday

Beautiful church, Betsy. I like how they matched what appears to be a newer addition to the original church. Thanks for sharing it in InSPIREd Sunday.

What a lovely building! It reminds me of the church I grew up in--except mine was quite a bit smaller.

a good set of photos - at first glance I thought the fire hydrant was a child posing - so unused to seeing them.
