First day

A few pics of Adalyn's first day of first grade.  She is such a sweet little thing and all smiles ready to leave at 7a.m.
She loves her doggy and he is watching out for her.

Star is funny, he just watches when he is out on the steps.

Have a great day sweetie.

  1. Adalyn is so cute, Betsy! :) Star is awfully handsome, as well. Is he an Australian Shepherd or a Border Collie? They're such smart dogs.

    Have a great day!

  5. I bet Adalyn is going to have a great year in first grade! She's darling and so is her doggy. Our grands began their school year yesterday. I can hardly believe they are in the 8th and 10th grade! Where does the time go?
The photos of Colonial Beach were lovely, Betsy! I hope you are staying cool---I'm ready for some cooler weather. ♥

  8. Dearest Betsy,
Your Adalyn sure is a very good-natured little girl, eager to go to school!
Precious photos that will make fond memories for later...
Compared to my birth country, The Netherlands, children have to be ready very early in the morning here in the USA! Kudos to those little ones that learn the discipline of rising early for school and later for the job.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  9. She is darling, Betsy! And we both have first grade granddaughters. It is such an exciting time for them, isn't it? And a tiny bit scary for grandmothers who would like to keep them young as long as we can, right?

  10. What a precious child. My son is now 46;years old and I remember his first day of kindergarten just like it was yesterday.

My Grandson also just started First Grade . He lives 2000 miles away. So I only get to see him every six months.
