Little Yard work and some reads

Tuesday was a nice and hot day.  It hit 80 degrees.  I sat in the chair on patio for a short while to soak up some vitamin D.  Felt so good.

Note.. click on picture to enlarge if need be.

I am happy to see the boxwood I have been clipping into a topiary for two or maybe it's been three springs has made it through our harsh winter this year.

I will tie some twine around that grass in the distance before it's cut so I can use it to decorate the lamp post in the fall.

Dinner bell was here when we moved here.  I was told it came from Chase City Virginia.
I thought that was pretty neat when I heard that because Mom was born in Chase city.

I purchase this book a few days ago locally here and have been enjoying some of the ideas given.
I need a refresh.

I like the idea of some gilding and painted furniture but definitely not too much.

A little Bohemian but just a touch here and there

Got a few twigs and dead plants from last year up and into bags. I have much more cleaning up to do and actually don't mind it now that my knee is much better.  Or the new knee I should say.

Gorgeous Forsythia to greet in the early morning.  I have another that's rooted from a couple springs ago and I think I will plant it near the forest area for color.

A garden house book I will have to take a few ideas from I am reading on breaks from yard work.  I need to get rid of some clutter in my house.

The shelf above the window is nice for a garden room, but also for my kitchen area
A porch area below is sweet

Later

Lunch at Panera

Steve had chili and salad

I had French onion soup which isn't exactly the way I like it but it was tasty and good

I had a double stack with chicken and tomato with melted cheese.  Very good.

Til next time

  1. It's nice to see sunshine! It got up to 70 degrees here today before the wind and rain started. It is supposed to be a high of 39 tomorrow.
Lots of inspiration in that book!

    1. Thank you for your well wishes. I am pushing along because I love the outdoors so much as I am not much for staying inside. I would rather do yard work than housework. Yes indeed Spring will come and I just enjoy every minute til it gets here. I love all seasons. Looking aheah, Betsy
