Well it's all done except for the plantings and that will not be done anytime soon. Will absorb the cost of the sunken patio first. I don't know what I want for plantings anyway. I do know maybe some lavender.
This is the wood fence and sunflowers from a few summers ago where the sunken patio is now.
The fence is not here anymore and at this point we are deciding what type of fence or how we will put one that we like back. I want it gated in to keep wild critters out. An arbor with a gate will be there too.
We decided a good idea while the gentlemen were here to replace the gully of a sidewalk we had. The circles drawn for the new sidewalk.
The stamping part was interesting to watch..
Well that's it for now. J R Anderson Concrete in Va did the job and we are happy with it.

That's so exciting to have a new patio to enjoy, Betsy! And your stamped walkway is lovely. How nice you were able to have this done in winter. We just finished getting all the leaves picked up for hopefully the last time before spring! I do love gardening, but raking leaves is not my favorite. We do have a beech and an oak tree that has not dropped all of its leaves. Lol Stay warm and cozy!
Dearest Betsy,
J. R. Anderson Concrete did a great job it looks like, including those circles.
You've come this far and hoping it will all turn out well, without any water drainage problems in the future.
Hugs,
Mariette
Always exciting to have a project on the go, what a wonderful patio and so much to look forward to. I am a great fan of lavender and love to dry it out for craft projects. It has the most amazing smell, particularly when it is damp first thing in the morning or when you brush past it.
Good morning Mariette,
It will work with some drainage as far as the porch is concerned, but living on a slope does present it's problems. Some things I guess I'll have to live with. Happy Saturday to you, Betsy
Happy weekend to you!
Betsy, looks like you are on the home stretch. What fun there will be next summer..Stay well..xxoJudy
Betsy,
Looks pretty!! You are lucky that you are further south and that they will do work like that in the Winter. That type of work is not done around here at this time of the year... We will be in the single digits this weekend and we have about 2 inches of snow on the ground now and have a Winter storm expected for early next week....
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
