Zinnia Wreath

I finished about three weeks ago the zinnia wreath for my sister.
Took a little while.

Pinecones took several coats of paint and several coats of gloss sealer I used.  I don't think moisture will be a problem if hung on porch under cover.

  5. I just love your wreath and the colors you chose. How did you attach the pine cones to the wire? I use grapevine wreathes and i think clusters of the painted pine cones would be nice on ours. Might try it!

  6. Dearest Betsy,
That looks incredibly real like Zinnia blossoms! You are quite an artist and how lucky your sister is for receiving such a treasure from your hands.
You can feel proud for having done this!
Okay, just got home from my 1,900 mi solo driver trip. How much we enjoyed your beautiful State of Virginia! We rode the Blue Ridge Pkwy up to almost the end when suddenly heavy fog surprised me and I exited first chance. Took us 2 days to drive from entering in Asheville, NC as I came from East TN. And after the tornado and heavy rains we did the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. About one third we missed due to having to make a detour as a tree had blocked the road. But how lucky we were to continu in sunshine, as on the Blue Ridge Pkwy for 2 days, to the end at Front Royal. We learned that due to the tornado the entire Blue Ridge Pkwy got closed because of too many downed trees. We (I!) drove home in 2 segments in sunshine and arrived by 4:45 PM today and our kittens were happy to see us. They love our cat-sitter but they missed us...
    Hugs,
    Mariette
