Mom

A local paper of Mom and 101st Birthday. Born 11/23/1921

Mom had 8 of us.  Two died very early on, one died at two years old, another at birth.  Mom cooked every meal and I used to love to watch her make rolls and that lemon meringue pie.  She   made sure we were up and dressed ready for school with a good breakfast before we left, we had to have something in our stomachs she said.  Manners a must.  She reads her Bible.  I remember until her move to nursing home she said her bedtime prayers kneeling at her bed.  She is still the checkers queen as she always wins.  She loves to play scrabble too.

Moms Birthday at 101 years old

We celebrated Mom's 101st birthday on November 23.   A Thanksgiving dinner with her the day before Thanksgiving and a coconut cake which is her favorite.

Born November 23rd, 1921 in Chase City Va.

We all had a wonderful happy time.

God has Blessed all of us!

My grand girls, their mama and my niece photobombing behind as she called it.  I like this picture will all in it.
Food was ordered from Cracker Barrel so we could celebrate a Thanksgiving with Mom at my brother's home

I wish I had gotten other pictures of my sisters and family, but everyone was having a good time inside and outside on this sunny gorgeous day.
I went through my pictures, and I didn't get one of me with Mom.  Well, that is disappointing.
I will have to get one this week end and post.

Happy Mothers day

We have been feeling very ill for the last week.  There seems to be a change in that we are getting much better.   I didn't want the children coming in nowhere near us.

They left lovely bouquet of flowers, some yummy Publix Minestrone soup and good cannelloni filled with cheesecake filling.

Leaving my flowers on porch is best thing when not wanting others to get sick.  They are all feeling better now too, Thank God.

I took this picture of a painting while having dinner a few weeks ago. I feel I resemble him.

Hoping to be able to visit my Mom next week for sure.

Til next time, Betsy
