Halloween decorations

Grandchildren have left for home to get dressed for trick or treating.

Here is Adalyn going as a Cat,  she calls herself ......  she's giving a little wink

I am waiting for the little ones to give out candy,  while waiting  -  here are a few shots of home.

Flowers end

Sounds somewhat like a movie title for my post title.

The following shots are what is left of the seasons flowers.
Seems as though the colors are more vibrant now than they were in Summer.  The sun is not out as much to make them fade.

A picture of my wreath on my front door

You can see somewhat of a sunset reflecting in the glass
Nasturtiums on my side fence just started getting pretty about a month ago, much healthier now than in the spring and summer.
I pull off a bloom every time I walk by to eat,  tastes like cress salad to me.   Will miss the blooms in  salad.
The color is just as you see it.  Very vibrant.

Very few blooms left of the zinnias.   Below are a few that have been growing in pots

This one has a pretty autumn color to it,  orange and yellow hues.

The ones here are not as large as the ones growing in the pot.  I do think that epsom salt I watered them with in the pots made them grow healthier and prettier.

The color of these are my favorite.

I have to have my coleus

One lone Dahlia left

genevieve b'day

She turned one on Saturday - Genevieve our youngest grandchild.

Pretty in pink

Adalyn likes to be more precise when eating a cake,  she makes sure no crumbs from the cake are attached to the frosting she likes to eat.   So sweet

Grands

Outside with  Adalyn and Genevieve.   Nice to have the days pleasant to be outside and enjoy the fall weather.

off for  a ride in the wagon

Genevieve didn't sit long ,  but she enjoyed being back in the stroller while Adalyn enjoyed the wagon

They both love the riding mower ( of course the blades are disengaged)   we never cut the grass with them on it.  (just felt like I had to say)

She spies something.

Genevieve thinking about putting that rock in her mouth, everything goes in the mouth at her age.

" A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty"

Orchard trip

A side trip to Carter mountain a week ago to check out the apples and pumpkins.
Nice gift shop with some interesting gifts.
Steve and I enjoyed an icy or icee made from apple cider - so good.

I am standing in back of the shop taking a picture of the orchard.

Interesting history of the mountain
the Honorable John Carter,  Esquire obtained by grant - 9,350 acres of land which embraced the whole of what is called "Carter Mountain in 1729.
Check out this site where information is found
