A look around before the rain
Ready to rain and happy to have it. Now I don't have to water.
Nothing is really pretty except a few vegetables. The pot with flowers died and the geranium is pretty, little blurry. It's not real. No point purchasing anymore. Can't find them anyway. This one I move around at different angles in the pot. I know, shame on me for putting fake plants in a pot outside.

It's Independence Day!
We celebrated Independence day with a parade. Had a great time! Of course we had icees, a must as far as the children are concerned. Can't take in a parade without one. Miranda treated us to burgers and fresh squeezed lemonade. Nice to be out even in the heat.

The band played patriotic songs. Each branch of the armed services were honored with it's own service song. For Steve "The Army Goes Rolling Along"
Adalyn and Genevieve looking from the inside of the Arts and Activities center. This center was the original Ashland Baptist church. Interesting history of it is found Here

On our way back to the car after the parade I took a few shots of some the fine homes in Ashland

Happy Hot Tuesday
Got up early to water plants and came into the house at 8 a.m. Started to get very hot and somewhat humid. Gotta stay hydrated.
It was a scorcher on Monday here. Cornfield at the end of our street.
Look at how this Mandevilla loves the heat. It's been in the pot in the yard since Easter when Miranda brought it to me. It's now trailing the lamp post.
The rose I purchased from Kroger last year for 50 cents. I transferred it to this pot. Didn't think it would live but it sure did.
Stay in and stay cool.

It said on the tag that it is a miniature rose. It was at the time. Growing nicely.
