I have been wishing for snow. We woke this morning to thunder , looked out and saw the wind blowing in all directions with large flakes falling. I got some pictures of course.

It's starting to ease up now.

Sunday drive and barn
On Sunday Steve and I took a drive to Tappahannock Va.
Took a look at the River and had lunch at Lowery's.
Passed this old barn in middle of what looks to be a cornfield on
High way 360.
I am linking up with Barn Charm

Part two of Lewis Ginters Orchids Galore
In this section of the Conservatory is this adorable cottage. It will change with the seasons and what is featured in the garden at different times of the year. I did not snap the inside this visit of an easel and artists supplies in place as if there was an artist there painting a picture.
sweet cottage with thatched roof - I do like the yellow door with iron fixtures. Origami birds are hanging above.
I always come away with ideas for my own garden and one being hanging picture frames to show off the garden plantings
tulips and cyclamen planted and among the plants are garden ornaments and animals
the fan although much needed at times sort of takes away the charm a little bit
Cattleya spring squall or corsage orchid
Happy Sunday - betsy

Lewis Ginter and Orchids part one
Inside the Conservatory at Lewis Ginter Botanical gardens were Orchids. Lots of Orchids, more than I knew existed. Glorious colors. The blue orchids caught my attention right away.
I had Addy with me and she enjoyed her stroll through the flowers. The strong pinks caught her eyes . It was a grey and very chilly day, but we were warm and cozy inside among such pretty plants and flowers.
A pot of orchids at the waterfall neat the entrance
she loves flowers - you can see she has my keys

Whimsical and colorful way to display the orchids among the bottle trees as we make our way to another room in the conservatory

I love the orange and pinks together
bags of orchids
Petty lime colored ones
I've not seen red bottled like the ones above, maybe glass paint?
I want some
til next time
