We had our first snowfall on Friday. Couple inches.
Today is Monday and have more coming down.
Much colder and at the moment 29 degrees.
Did some Christmas shopping Saturday with granddaughter Gv. and had a soup lunch at Hanover Tavern.
Gv had Brunswick stew and I had an 1800th century recipe of cream of mushroom soup.
Walked around the Tavern for some history.
Saturday night we watched an old movie classic, Bell Book and Candle with Kim Novak and James Stewart. Love these oldies. Got through a whole move without a single curse word, one of the reasons I like the oldies like this.
Dinner later was homemade potato soup with carrots and celery for flavor, and yes, I added ham, regular milk, some heavy cream and butter.
Today Monday already and more snow. I went out in it.
Pulling into driveway, I took a picture in-between windshield wiper blade moving.
That's all folks
Til next time.

How lovely to spend the day with your granddaughter. Those visits are precious, they grow up so fast! Happy Birthday to your mom. 104?! That's wonderful, you are blessed...and I love your header quote. Words to live by...enjoy the snow. We have cold, but rain. It's not nearly as pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim. Granddaughter is older now and its fewer visits than it used to be. Kids getting older and wanting to do their own thing. Things change. But this day was very nice and enjoyed.
DeleteThe restaurant looks fabulous and the food choices sound delicious! Grandkids have such busy lives, I am glad you got to spend some time together!
ReplyDeleteAnd that potato soup!!! Oh my gosh, so perfect for today.
Thank you Miss Merry. Indeed it seems they have other things going on all the time now. Glad they fit me in these days. Happy New Year to you and yours!
