First day of school

A happy looking little girl with her backpack and lunch bag all ready for school.   Daddy and Mommy took her today.   It's a happy / sad sorta day.   Happy she is happy and sad that she will not be over as often during the day.   Gee,  didn't know it would feel like this.

Daddy I am told had to walk to the  classroom with her,  because he just wanted to.
We are so happy for you Adalyn.   We love you and have a wonderful day which I am sure you will.  Off to a good start.

Few pics of Baby Adalyn
Children  do not keep.  Gotta take all the time we can because they grow fast.

Now to see what this lil mess is doing.  Genevieve is a sweetheart who won't be far behind her sister starting school .  She will be 4 in October.

  1. She's a cutie, Betsy! :) Best wishes for her very first day of school, and I know exactly how you feel. Our son's first day of kindergarten, I had to leave the room quickly because I started to cry. I didn't see that coming at all -- thought I was ready and prepared. The years do fly by, don't they?

  3. Darling post, Betsy! They grow up so fast. It seems the grands grow faster than the parents. ♥

  4. It's bittersweet, isn't it, Betsy? Both girls are absolutely adorable. I hope Addy has a great year at school.

  5. It really is bittersweet for you. My Grandson started yesterday and my Grandaughter today, visiting them now is a little harder, weekends only...

  6. Dearest Betsy,
Oh this is so true, time goes way too fast and especially with little children.
They grow up so quickly but it is a joy when all goes well and they love to go to school.
    Enjoy this special time.
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

  7. Oh, Betsy, you have the most darling grandbabies! Without a doubt. Hope Adalyn loves school. You are so right when you say babies don't keep (love that analogy) but I keep looking closely at my 23 year old baby and I can still see that first day of school in him also. So they do keep as long as you want them to..Happy Wednesday..xxoJudy
