Friday and late Easter pics

A ride to my sister's house last Friday with Adalyn whom enjoyed playing at the park.   I enjoyed lunch and a look at the azaleas in bloom at the moment.   Soon they will be gone and other blooms to follow on the Crepe Myrtles and flowering plants.
A pretty sun dappled lane to house
So proud,  second time down the slide and got it right this time.    The first time she wasn't sitting upright.
here I come
and here I go
Erins  sandwich shop for a soda
A flower arrangement on dining table they almost look real
A few Easter pictures I never posted and here they are now
We had dinner at Donnas house and as always delicious!    Ham and all of the fixings.
Here is one lil ham - Adalyn
That little finger is always pointing at something,  she is a serious lil gal at times

So glad mom came and she had a great time .  She is 91 and is doing great

As we were making our way to Oatland's Plantation in Loudon County VA.
we stopped at this vintage store.   Lots of neat things to purchase ,  especially garden ornaments and large urns.
I didn't get the name ,except that it's located on Monroe and Glenrose Sts.
Vintage glider like the one mom used to have costs $325.00
across the street is this shop,  check out the shutters and what a very old foundation-stone
next door is this house with the nice window planters
I am going to make me something like this for my kitchen
I like this vintage book
I purchased this little bed for $15.00,   the side drops just like the real one
the price was right and not to many I would expect,  in this great shape.   The original mattress was still in wonderful condition
Lastly ,  azaleas from my garden

Evening flowers at Ginter gardens

Steve and I visited Lewis Ginter Gardens.   They were open til  9 so people could enjoy them late into the evening.

I always have to see what is in the gift shop when I get there
gorgeous tulips as we make our way to the house
little johnny jump ups as under plantings

entrance to children's garden

music on the lawn with refreshments

blurry but I had to show the plantings and how they have them arranged so neatly

inside  , I love the soft colors and the wood
sun room overlooking the lake
beautiful billowy curtains
we asked about the lake and were told it actually was a creek.  Lewis Ginter dammed it up to make the large water it is today.

just about time to go
